Rules for using the GhostESP name, logo, and assets in your products and content.
GhostESP: Revival is the actively maintained continuation of the original Ghost ESP project. We adopted and continued the name as GhostESP (also referred to as GhostESP: Revival) when we forked and revived the project.
The GhostESP logo, the "GhostESP: Revival" identity, and all original artwork in this repository are the intellectual property of the current project maintainers. The underlying firmware is licensed under GPL-3.0.
These guidelines exist to keep things fair and honest. We're a community-driven open-source project and we want people to build cool things with GhostESP, including selling hardware, but we need to protect the project's identity.
We love that people are selling boards, but you cannot name your product "GhostESP". This confuses users into thinking it is an official product.
If you sell hardware, you must make it clear that your product is compatible with our software, not produced by us.
The GhostESP logo, the "GhostESP" handwriting wordmarks, and associated artwork are our copyrighted assets. You may use them only if you follow these rules:
Cover GhostESP however you like. Tutorials, reviews, teardowns, comparisons — no worries. Credit "GhostESP: Revival" and link to ghostesp.net.
Forks are encouraged under the GPL-3.0 license. However, if you fork the project, you may not use the GhostESP name or Logo for your fork's branding if it diverges significantly. You should choose a new name and state "Based on GhostESP".
We reserve the right to take action (including copyright takedowns) against:
We offer an Official Hardware Partner program for vendors who support the project. Partners receive:
